Product of the Month – XS Cylinder

As we head into July we’re starting to see some semblance of normality return to life. Pubs and restaurants are re-opening, holidays are being booked and we’re all hoping that these are important steps on the road to heading back to normality. We’re delighted to welcome our sales team back this month and with customer demand growing, the lock and door hardware industry certainly looks to be finding its feet again.

We’re continuing our Product of the Month series with our XS euro cylinder. The XS is a BS 1* euro cylinder which offers a high level of protection at an affordable price. The cylinder offers protection from the main forced entry methods of attack:

• Drilling
• Picking
• Bumping
• Plug Extraction

Featuring 4 anti-pick pins and 3 anti-drill pins on each side as well as brass differ and driver pins, the XS cylinder offers a good level of security for your door. The XS also features a U-shaped stainless steel protection pin as well as a shallow chamber to prevent plug extraction.  

The cylinder has been tested to TS007:2014 A1:2015 and EN1303:2005 — 16000C62* and there are in excess of 117,000 effective differs.

The XS 1* euro cylinder is available in sizes from 70m-110mm and is available in Key-Key or Key-Thumbturn designs. The cylinder comes with 3 keys and is available in Brass or Satin Nickel finishes.
