APECS Key Secure

Security is at the forefront of everyone’s minds and we all want our homes to be as secure as possible. We have been working on ways to make our products even more secure and so we are delighted to announce the introduction of our APECS Key Secure system.

This new system ensures that your property is always protected to the highest level. With APECS Key Secure, you protect your keys with a unique security code which means that copies of your keys can only be made when the security code is provided. This means that you are in full control of, not only, when new keys are being cut, but also who is cutting them.

It’s extremely simple to sign up for APECS Key Secure and you can do it at the same time as registering your Product Warranty or AI Secure Guarantee. All you need to do is fill in your name, email address, phone number, security code and your unique key number (found on the key or cylinder). APECS does not store any address information with your Key Secure registration to ensure that your information cannot be used by thieves or fraudsters.

After you have registered, when you contact us to get new keys or when you visit one of our APECS Prime Centres to get a key cut, you will have to provide your security code. This security code will then be checked against our central database and only then will new keys be able to produced. This means that even if someone found your key and had your unique key code, they still wouldn’t be able to make copies.
