Our featured product for this month is our LX5 - 5 Lever Deadlock. The LX5 is a BS certified lock - tested to BS3621:2007.
APECS has modified the traditional 5-lever deadlock by developing our own springless mechanism. This mechanism delivers lost motion action and helps to secure the lock from picking, as well as providing long lasting durability.
The LX5 lock features a solid brass 20mm deadbolt which is reinforced with hardened steel pins. In addition, the LX5 comes with hardened steel plates on either side to withstand severe drill attacks.
The LX5 is a great BS certified high security retrograde update for 5-lever deadlocks available on the market currently.

When we heard APECS introduced their own range to the LX5 lock as a direct replacement for the Union (Chubb) 3G110 we were excited to see how it faired up to the original. The first shipment arrived as promised within 24hrs and on first glance the 2 locks were identical in size and shape. The added bonus of the LX5 compared to the 3G110 is that LX5 is insurance approved. After all these years of not being able to offer our customers a direct replacement that covers the insurance criteria, APECS has now ticked that box!!
The LX5 has a smooth operational feel with 3 solid keys made of brass. No additional cutting of the door is required when replacing it from a 3G110, and usually the keep goes straight in place of the old one. The key way is exactly the same too."
